The eighth day of Shardiya Navratri falls on Friday, October 11, and it is dedicated to the worship of Maa Mahagauri. Devotees celebrate Maha Ashtami, by honoring Maa Mahagauri through Kanya Puja and other sacred rituals. This day is considered highly auspicious in the nine-night festival of Navratri, dedicated to the Goddess Durga.
