Ja Morant Named the 2019-2020 NBA Rookie of the Year

The NBA announced on Thursday that the Memphis Grizzlies point guard is the NBA Rookie of the Year.

Ja Morant has been named the 2019-2020 NBA Rookie of the Year!

The NBA announced on Thursday that the Memphis Grizzlies point guard is the NBA Rookie of the Year. Morant was nearly a unanimous winner of the award, receiving 99 of the first-place votes with one going to New Orlean’s Zion Williamson.
Morant averaged 17.8 points and 7.3 assists over 67 regular-season games. He shot 47.7% from the floor and had an effective FG% of 50.9%.  Morant was drafted second overall during the 2019 NBA draft by the Memphis Grizzlies.
