Azarenka beats bitter cold and Kovinic to set off in Paris

Victoria Azarenka, seeded at a Slam for the first time since becoming a mother almost four years ago, beat Danka Kovinic 6-1, 6-2 in a rain-interrupted feature on a bitterly cold first morning at the Roland Garros in Paris.
